Yavarum Nalam



For the first time ever in Indian film industry, an Indian film is to be remade in to Hollywood. The recently released spooky horror flick Yavarum Nalam movie remake rights have been snapped up by a Hollywood production house Weinstein Company, one of the largest film production houses and distributors in the world.

Weinstein Company have officially bought the rights of Yaavarum Nalam to be made into a Hollywood feature film. The Company came across the synopsis of the film at the Berlin film festival film market where the producers Big Pictures had a stall.

Weinstein has produced films like Rambo (2008), The Nutty Professor (2008), Outlander (2008), Halloween (2007) and many other films. They sent a representative to India who saw the film, and impressed by the innovative concept, the company has officially bought the rights.

Yavarum Nalam or 13 B in Hindi is a bilingual film directed by Vikram K. Kumar, and starring Madhavan and Neetu Chandra in the lead roles. Produced by Sujatha Cine Arts for Adlabs, with music scored by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Yavarum Nalam and 13B released on 06 March 2009.

Yavarum Nalam Collected 20 lakhs in 3 days in chennai alone. But theatres showing Yavarum Nalam has started to increase the number of shows since it carries a good review through word of mouth.
