Vikram’s Kanthasamy movie Chennai theatrical rights has been purchased by Abirami Ramanathan from producer Kalaipuli.S Thanu for a whopping price of 4.01 crores. Lastly Abirami Ramanathan purchased Rajini starrer Sivaji Chennai city rights for a record price of Rs 6 crore.
Kanthaswamy is directed by Susi Ganesan, who with this movie will direct his fourth film. Vikram acts in the lead role, whilst Shriya Saran, Krishna, Ashish Vidyarthi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Prabhu Ganesan and Vivek also play roles in the film. The film’s soundtrack and background score will be composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film is also to be released as Mallana in Telugu.
Already Malayalam rights of the movie has been sold for 2 crores and its satellite broadcast rights have been secured for a stunning amount of Rs. 4.5 crores. The movie is said to be released during this year April.
